Crimes Of The Heart by Beth Henley

The poor, tragic, funny McGrath sisters, quintessential Southern women, are coping with all the grace they can muster. Babe has shot her no-good husband. Lenny, caretaking their grandfather and turning into an old maid at 30, is pining for Doc whose affections are about to be stolen away by the sudden reappearance of middle sister Meg, a failed lounge singer. The stage set conveyed an understated realism through the arrangement of several highly detailed fragments of an old-fashioned kitchen.
